Upgrade Windows!

With new windows, you let in the natural light to your office. Small windows? Try installing larger ones to create a larger, light-filled space. New windows can make your office energy-efficient & save you money because new windows have better insulation. Lower costs in utilities & the illusion of a larger space – new windows do the job!

A great type of new window can come in the form of a wood casement from any of the 400 anderson series ones, or you can even go with something like some double-hung fiberglass, like what Marvin Ultrex can offer. Whatever you choose, just be willing to pay top-dollar if you want something truly good, such as these two options mentioned.

Transitioning from a Traditional Office Space to Modern

If you wish to modernize & optimize your office space think about eliminating boxed straight edges. The days of the stuffy, boxed in design for an office are long gone. Studies show that an open, airy, sunlight drenched work environment promotes productivity, along with a positive attitude. It helps to get the creative juices flowing. It is proven that content employees will work hardy & more efficiently for an employer.

Natural Lighting

It is well known that natural sunlight will visually expand an interior space. It also encourages unity & enhances employee morale. By maximizing the sunlight available to you it will lead to happier employees & also reduce the electrical costs.

Rounding Out The Edges

Installing a rounded reception desk & removing the hard edges & boxy style layout will automatically improve the sense of your office to a more natural streamline feel. There are different office furniture companies who could give a range of options for a new reception desk.

Encouraging a Collaborative Workspace

Getting away from the traditional boardroom atmosphere for brainstorming sessions not only brings out the creative juices it encourages an open & natural environment. Meeting in the break room to chat about work issues will also open communications between everyone.

These suggestions will be the beginning of a modern non-traditional office space & improve productivity, morale & creativity.

Is it cheaper to remodel or build new?

What is commercial remodeling?

Commercial remodel
A commercial model is an alternative many investors take, which is more affordable than building a whole new structure to set up their business. Commercial remodeling provides companies that intend to expand but has no property, an opportunity to grow using the area they are provided with. It's a smart financial move for businesses that are still developing as they set firm foundations until they can adequately afford to build their own offices.
Stages of a commercial remodel
The commercial models follow almost similar stages as construction to achieve the maximum results. These steps involved include
– Designing the interior & planning on all the changes
– Budgeting & bidding
– Purchasing of materials & bringing an engineer on board
– Re-designing & doing the structural repairs
– Rebuilding where necessary
– Concluding the process
– Cleaning up the place
The duration to complete this process will depend on the design used & also the kind of expertise that you hire. Capital is a significant issue as well since nothing can move forward if there is no cash.
New building vs. a commercial model
Both building a new structure & commercial modeling have their ups & downs. If you opt to build a new building, the process will take a lot of time before completion. It's because you'll start by purchasing land, & then starting the building process, which is also costly, but eventually, this is a property you'll be owning. Commercial modeling saves on time & money, but it's not a long term plan.
